The AOC Gaming Q27G4XF is up there with the best of sub-£200 gaming monitors.

Our Verdict

This is another monitor from AGON by AOC that is tailored towards mainstream gamers while offering a perfect solution for creatives. AOC keeps it really simple, delivering top specs for gaming such as a 180Hz refresh rate and a 0.5ms response time (MPRT). There is a distinct lack of ports, which is a little disappointing but at the end of the day, it's designed specifically to connect to a single game console or PC. The sub £200 price will appeal to many entry-level or hobbyist gamers.

AGON by AOC is one of the world's most prominent gaming monitor brands. It seems like a week doesn't go by without the company releasing another gaming monitor with higher specs, more features, or products to fit a niche in the market.

This time around it's the AOC Gaming Q27G4XF monitor, part of the new G4 series. There are four models in the collection and I have the flat 27-inch model. There is also a curved version at the same size, as well as 31-5-inch alternatives of both. They are designed to cater to a wide range of gaming preferences and budgets and I think they've generally achieved their goal.
