HP Envy x360 15 review: affordable 2-in-1 laptop covers (most of) the creative basics

This convertible laptop is a good, if bulky, option for creatives on the go.

Our Verdict

The HP Envy x360 15 is an affordable midrange laptop with some cool features for creatives, such as a touchscreen and a 2-in-1 flipability, which can turn the laptop into a (very big) tablet. It's not the most powerful, and anyone dealing with heavy rendering jobs or 3D modelling will need something with discrete graphics and more RAM, but this makes for a very attractive option for students and hybrid workers who like the touchscreen functionality.

For

  • 2-in-1 capability is great for drawing
  • Affordable price point
  • Big, sharp screen

Against

  • Cumbersome in tablet mode
  • Slow app startup

Why you can trust Creative Bloq Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test.

The HP Envy x360 15 is the bigger, younger sibling of the 13-inch HP Envy x360 we reviewed in late-2022. That one spent a good while on our guide to the best 2-in-1 laptops for creatives, so with this bigger model and newer components, surely it's a shoo-in for our next update. Right?

We got a model in for testing to find out, and found that while the screen is as good as ever, and the 2-in-1 functionality is brilliant (even if it does feel bulky at this bigger size), the power fits a student laptop more than one for a professional with high-end requirements.
