KeyShot 2023 review: best renderer for virtual reality but you pay for it

An improved 3D painting system, colour workflow overhaul and 360-degree viewer make KeyShot 2023 an increasingly appealing renderer.

Our Verdict

KeyShot 2023 has so far received three updates that strengthen its core offering while at the same time introducing new features. One example is its extended 3D painting system that now works better with a tablet and stylus. This feature is nice to have but still doesn't compete with alternatives such as Adobe Substance Painter. The new colour workflow helps artists make colour changes across materials more quickly. KeyShot continues to be very easy to use and helps streamline the overall visualisation process.

For

  • Easy to learn and use
  • Improve colour workflow
  • 3D Paint texture painting

Against

  • An expensive option
