Surface Pro deals
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Pro 8
Microsoft's all new Surface Pro 8 hit the streets in October 2021 after much demand for an up-to-date iteration of the popular series. It had been a long-time coming, being two years since the release of the Surface Pro 7 (although the Surface Pro 7+ offered a minor update in January 2021. It was certainly worth the wait though. The Surface Pro 8 boasts a streamlined design, with rounded edges and the thinest bezels of any Surface Pro yet, it also has super fast processing power to handle all kinds of creative work, plenty of ports, including Thunderbolt 4, and it’s perfectly timed to make the most of Windows 11.
In fact, the Surface Pro 8 has clearly been designed to offer genuine competition for the iPad Pro, even with the same starting price of $1099/£999. So should you consider it over an iPad? If you want that flexibility of a laptop/tablet hybrid without needing to buy an additional keyboard/case, then we’d say you definitely should, particularly if you’re a creative professional that often needs to work on the go and in different situations, although like with the iPad you’ll still need to pay extra to buy a stylus if you want to take notes or draw. See our Surface Pro 8 review for more details.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Pro 7
The Surface Pro 7 is the latest version of Microsoft's popular Surface Pro tablet lineup. It offers more of the same but with upgraded components. While some people have been disappointed that it didn't offer a more revolutionary upgrade to the Surface Pro 6, many think the Surface Pro design is perfect and were more than happy to see the same device with the latest components.
With some of Intel's latest processors powering the device, this is a faster, more powerful Surface Pro. You may not feel the need to upgrade if you already have a Surface Pro 6, but if you have an older Surface Pro, or you've always wanted to get one, then the Surface Pro 7 is the model to go for, especially if you see a discount in the list of prices below. See our Surface Pro 7 review to learn more.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Pro X
Microsoft played it safe with the new Surface Pro 7, but the company was more innovative with the Surface Pro X. This thin, light Surface Pro tablet is a premium device with custom hardware, including a unique processor built by Microsoft and Qualcomm. The idea was to make a mobile device that really pushed the boundaries of what we can expect. We're not sure Microsoft quite achieved that, but the Surface Pro X is very well put together, and if you use the Surface Pen stylus, it makes a fairly good sketching pad too.
It's important that you know what you're getting with the Surface Pro X before you buy. Its unique processor means that many traditional Windows 10 apps don't work – something you don't need to worry about with the Surface Pro 7. It's also quite expensive, even with the best deals we've found, and it doesn't offer the same kind of power you'd get from the iPad Pro, which is actually cheaper. Still, if you're after a unique Surface Pro with some very interesting features that's good for creative work, the Surface Pro X could be the best Microsoft Surface device for you. See our hands-on Surface Pro X review for more details.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Pro 6
It's getting on a bit now, but thanks to its powerful 8th-generation quad-core Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, this iteration of the 12.3-inch hybrid tablet/laptop Surface Pro still delivers solid speed and performance and certainly outshines the models that came before it.
Boasting up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, the Surface Pro 6 provides users with a smooth experience. It can switch between laptop, studio, and tablet modes easily to keep up with demanding workflows, ensuring optimum productivity. As with all Surface Pros, the Surface Pen (sold separately) offers pressure sensitivity of 4,096 levels, while the multi-position Surface Pro Type Cover lets you use the Surface Pro like a laptop. We've seen some great Microsoft Surface deals on this tablet. See our Surface Pro 6 review.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Pro deals
Thanks to a powerful Intel Core processor under the hood, the original Surface Pro still offers a smooth experience, and software like Photoshop or Illustrator suffer almost no kind of lag. It’s compact, light, powerful and looks the part. Like newer models, its dual form means you can use it as a laptop or tablet and, unlike with newer models, it comes with a pen included for sketching. See our Surface Pro review.
Surface Studio deals
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Studio 2
With a stunning 4,500 x 3,000 resolution 28in PixelSense touch-sensitive display, the Surface Studio 2 all-in-one PC is specially designed for creative work. And now with a quad-core Intel processor and an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070, it’s great for design work and gaming alike.
Unlike Apple’s iMac all-in-one, Surface 2 has hinges at the back, letting you fold it down so you're working on a (near) horizontal screen. It's a new way of working for desktop computing, whether you're drawing or writing. With such a beautiful display, it could well be worth the investment, especially if you find a Microsoft Surface deal below. With up to 32GB of memory and 2TB of super-fast SSD storage, it's a computer that could last you for years.
Microsoft Surface deals: Original Surface Studio
With an impressive 28-inch PixelSense Display, the Surface Studio was specially designed for creatives. Capable of switching and adjusting to follow how you work, the original Surface Studio is still an outstanding machine, powered by Intel Core processors and an NVIDIA GeForce dGPU to help bring your work to life. See our Surface Studio review
Surface Laptop deals
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Laptop Studio
Microsoft’s latest twist on the Surface formula is a reimagined Surface Book with a more MacBook Pro-like design and an eye-catching versatile hinged 120Hz display. Released in October 2021, it's a premium 2-in-1 that's powerful enough to handle work, gaming, and the creation of digital art on the go. It's also Microsoft’s flagship device for Windows 11, and makes the operating system a more inviting proposition. Microsoft clearly has creative professionals in mind, and it will cope with most creative work. It boasts a bright, vibrant screen, great speakers, good battery life and the optional Slim Pen 2 stylus works very well. The deciding factor will probably be whether you want that sleek sliding screen.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Laptop Go
Released in October 2020, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is the smallest and most affordable offering in the Surface Laptop line, costing just half the price of the Surface Laptop 3.
The 12.4-inch display isn't huge, but it does make this a super-portable laptop (as the name suggests) – weighs just 1.1kg. The device comes in ice blue, sandstone and platinum and boasts up to 13 hours of battery life. The i5 processor isn't bad, but some may feel they need more than the maximum 8GB RAM and 256GB storage offered. If you're happy with those specs and want a sleek, lightweight portable device, then the Surface Laptop Go could well be for you.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Laptop 4
The best Microsoft Surface Laptop in the range, and possibly the best Windows laptop all-round, the new Surface Laptop 4 comes with either an i5 or i7 11th gen CPU, and either an Intel Iris Xe or AMD Radeon graphics card. It's one of the fastest and best-designed laptops yet. The screen is a beautiful 13.5-inch, PixelSense touch screen (that's right! A high-end laptop with a touch screen), and storage options range from 256GB to 1TB SSD.
Released on 13 April 2021, the latest Surface Laptop has an extremely comfortable keyboard, top-class design build, and battery life of over 14 hours. With the current $999/£999 asking price for the entry level configurations, it's a serious contender if you're looking for a high-end, affordable laptop, and you don't want to take the Apple route.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Laptop 3
The Surface Laptop 3 is super-portable and packs a lot of power under the hood. The touchscreen display comes in 13.5in and 15in versions. The 13.5in runs an i5 or i7 processor and doesn't have the option for dedicated graphics, and instead uses Intel's Iris Plus graphics. The 15inoption, however, boasts AMD Radeon Vega or RX Vega graphics with Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors. It's a very decent option for many creatives.

Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Laptop 2
Boasting a vibrant 13.5-inch PixelSense Display with immersive touchscreen, the Surface Laptop features up to 16GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage, giving enough performance to power through taxing graphic design software as well as light use such as social media, surfing the web and document editing.
As with the Surface Pro, the Surface Laptop 2 is available in matte black, as well as four other colours. Its innards have an 8th-generation Intel processor, and a battery that will last up to 14.5 hours.

Surface Book deals
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Book 3
Microsoft's Surface Books are also laptops, but unlike the Surface Laptop, the screen is detachable. Microsoft says its Surface Book 3 is over 50 per cent faster than the Surface Book 2. It has a 10th generational Intel processor and its detachable touchscreen makes it a versatile option for creatives who want to be able to sketch straight on a tablet-sized screen.
The NVIDIA graphics means this device is a good choice for running creative software such as Adobe's Creative Cloud apps, as well as for gaming. It comes with either a 13.5in or 15in PixelSense display touchscreen, up to 1TB of storage and 32GB RAM. Overall, this is a powerful and versatile laptop that's well worth considering.
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Book 2
At 15 inches, the beautiful 2-in-1 Microsoft Surface Book 2 introduced a larger form factor to the original Surface Book. Before it was super-seeded by the Surface Book 3, this was the world’s best 2-in-1 laptop, and it's still very powerful, with a dazzling 15in PixelSense display (or you can choose the compact 13.5in Surface Book 2), and boasts a battery life of up to 17 hours.
It’s also incredibly flexible – with laptop, tablet, studio and view modes – and lightweight to boot. Prices are coming down now that the Surface Book 3 is out so you might just be able to get a Microsoft Surface deal on this one.

Microsoft Surface deals: Original Surface Book
The first iteration of the Surface Book remains an impressive model today, and with huge price cuts likely while stocks last, Microsoft's first-ever 2-in-1 laptop is an irresistible candidate for creatives. With an innovative Performance Base that delivers crisp, vibrant graphics and up to 16 hours of battery life, if you can get your hands on a Surface Book deal, you won't regret it.

Surface Go deals
Microsoft Surface deals: Surface Go
Just to make things confusing, as well as the Surface Laptop Go above, there's also the Surface Go (without the "laptop"). This is Microsoft’s answer to the iPad, offering a more affordable, portable device for lighter use. The latest iteration is the Surface Go 3, which was released in September 2021. It offers a 10.5in PixelSense touch-sensitive display with 1920 x 1280 resolution and is great for Netflix, social media and for editing documents. However, despite a colourful display, solid design and excellent webcam, its battery power is strangely lower than the Surface Go 2, and performance is no better, so you might prefer to look for a deal on the older Surface Go 2 instead (we'll link to prices for both below when available).
Which Microsoft Surface to choose?
When it comes to choosing a Microsoft surface deal, if you want a versatile, highly portable tablet that doubles as a laptop and can handle all kinds of creative work, then you’ll want to consider the Surface Pro range. The latest iteration is the Surface Pro 8, which was released in October 2021 and improves on the already impressive Surface Pro 7 with enhanced performance and a more sleek design. However, the Surface Pro 7 and X are still good choices for creatives, with long battery life and good performance.
If you’re looking for a desktop device, for raw power and sleek looks the new Surface Laptop Studio is a great choice for creatives, while the Surface Studio 2 is a great option for a stylish all-in-one PC. If you're after a traditional laptop setup, there’s the Surface Laptop and Surface Book ranges (the latter have detachable displays). Finally, if you simply want a more budget device to use for watching steamed content, browsing and editing documents, then the Surface Go is a nice lightweight portable device that still provides good performance.
