Huawei’s new MatePad Pro is a game-changer for content creators
Move over Apple iPad, there’s a new tablet in town.
Tablets have come on leaps and bounds in the last decade, with new technologies making these compact devices more powerful than many ever thought possible. And advancements show no signs of slowing down at Huawei’s ‘Creation of Beauty’ innovative product launch event, where the tech giant has revealed its all-new 13.2-inch MatePad Pro tablet.
The event’s theme is perfectly befitting for the MatePad Pro, not only perfectly capturing the aesthetics of the device itself, but what it is capable of. Whether its drawing or painting, manipulating images or editing videos, the MatePad Pro offers limitless creativity in a beautiful, highly portable design.
A creative game-changer
Built from the ground up for content creators, Huawei has created a tablet that sets it apart from it’s competitors. Its gorgeous 13.2-inch OLED screen spans almost the entire length and width of the device, with just 3.4mm bezels acting as a barely there frame - it has the narrowest borders and highest screen-to-body ratio (94%) on the tablet market. The result is a huge 80.42 square-inch work space - over half an inch bigger than the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch display.
And that’s not the only area the MatePad Pro comes out on top. With a thickness of just 5.5mm and weighing over 100g less (580g) than the iPad Pro, Huawei’s tablet is the thinnest and lightest device of this size.
If that wasn’t enough, the MatePad Pro features HUAWEI X-True™ display technology with ultra-high contrast and brightness and natural light sensing, which enables, which enables the screen to automatically adjust the brightness, contrast and colour to best suit its environment, so images remain crystal clear, no matter what the lighting condition. This impressive technology ensures the wellbeing of your eyes while using the device, even for long periods, for which has been recognised with the prestigious TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Care 3.0 certification.
Unparalleled drawing experience
When paired with the third generation M-Pencil stylus, the MatePad Pro’s pro-level display brings a delightful writing and drawing experience. The M-Pencil is powered by Huawei’s cutting-edge NearLink connectivity technology, enabling a significant boost in wireless connection and a highly responsive and stable experience. It is also the first stylus to offer more than 10,000 levels of pressure sensitivity for a drawing experience that is as close as you’ll get to the real thing.
Brilliant battery
The MatePad Pro’s weight and size makes it highly portable - perfect for those working on the go. Huawei has ensured battery life supports this way of working too. When fully charged, the huge 10,100mAh battery enables up to 12-hour local video playback, and supports 88W fast charging - just 10 minutes on charge and you’ll be up and running again for another couple of hours.
Exceptional audio
The MatePad Pro also excels with its audio offering, featuring six speakers (two high and four low frequency) with Audio Vivid, and four microphones, complete with noise cancellation. It offers a wonderfully immersive experience when watching movies, and exceptional clarity for video calls.
When it comes to large tablets, Huaewi’s new MatePad Pro 13.2 is arguably the best money can buy right now. Its edge-to-edge design, paired with the impressive M-Pencil stylus, is a true delight, and its portability, despite its size, is really quite incredible. The MatePad Pro’s powerful processor and long battery life offer endless creative options. Designed to foster creativity, the MatePad Pro fulfils the brief, and does so at a very reasonable price.
