Unrivalled power
At the heart of the Lenovo ThinkStation P620 is AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO. The top-end AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO 3995WX gives you up to 64-cores clocked at 2.7GHz (128 threads) with 256MB of cache. And, yes, that’s all on a single processor for maximum efficiency and performance. Lenovo has also powered up the ThinkStation P620 with up to two Nvidia Quadro RTX 8000 graphics cards connected together with high-speed Nvlink technology.
You can also specify up to four Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 GPUs should you prefer and, naturally, there are various options available to you in other areas. Should you need to upgrade any of the components, you can access the chassis without the need for tools.
The ThinkStation P620 runs Windows 10 Pro and boasts support for up to 512GB of RAM in total across 8 DIMM slots. There can be up to six storage devices installed – 2 x 2TB M.2 and 4 x 4TB 3.5-inch drives with RAID. There’s support for both USB-A and USB-C across a total of 10 ports. Everything is powered by a 1000W PSU.
Behind the top notch performance is also best-in-class cooling, with an air-cooled thermal system for smooth running in any environment.
Security is also key to the ThinkStation experience. ThinkShield is Lenovo’s workstation-level suite of security solutions baked into the machine, while the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) firmware uses encryption to significantly decrease the possibility of hacking.
Should you wish, you can disable all serial, parallel, USB, audio and network ports while you’re also able to set up a BIOS password as well as a power-on password to ensure access to the system remains restricted. For additional physical security, you can specify an optional Side-Cover Key Lock Kit to prevent physical access to the system.
