Discover HUAWEI's new devices designed to inspire the Creation of Beauty

HUAWEI has unleashed a trio of innovative new devices inspired by its aim to inspire the Creation of Beauty. The powerful flagship MateBook X Pro and MateBook 14 laptops and the MatePad 11.5’’S tablet come with enhancements that seek to stimulate users’ creative potential and enhance their productivity. And they’re accompanied by Super Device, a tool that allows seamless collaboration and the transfer of tasks across different devices.

HUAWEI has cemented its creative credentials this year with the launch of the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity, encouraging users around the world to create and enjoy creating, while, MY HUAWEI encourages users to share the fun of creation. Now the brand’s latest hardware aims to support creatives further driving creativity by addressing users’ real needs in mobile scenarios.

Enhancements that empower creativity 

HUAWEI has spent two years upgrading the MateBook X Pro's architecture and materials to introduce better heat dissipation and battery life as well as enhanced display quality and performance through X-True Display technology. The result is a powerful and immersive creative environment.

With its latest high-performance processor, the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro laptop has the power for professional creation, such as 4K video rendering and export and large software programming. Innovative HUAWEI CLOUD Falcon Architecture with a light and compact Modular PCB ensures performance isn’t limited by space. This permits a larger battery, allowing users to create on the move for longer, as well as a larger fan to keep things cool under pressure and a larger speaker for stunning audio.

 Inspirational design

The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro combines these high-end technological advancements with sleek contemporary aesthetics. With its innovative new Skyline design, it weighs just 980g and is only 13.5 mm thick, making it the lightest and thinnest HUAWEI laptop to date. HUAWEI ID designers have refined every detail, eliminating unnecessary screws and seams, resulting in a striking minimalist form with a strong sense of integrity.

The unique skin-soothing metallic body is warm and comfortable to the touch, offering a great improvement on the experience of the typical PC shell in mobile scenarios, especially outdoors in winter. The body is also more durable and scratch-resistant, making carrying it around less of a concern. 

As for audio, HUAWEI MateBook X Pro comes equipped with HUAWEI SOUND technology, which can analyse the sound information of different spaces. Through sound separation and remixing, the human voice sounds fuller, instruments brighter, low frequencies stronger, and the sound field is wider. The result is a truly immersive audio experience that makes users feel like they’re right there in the action.

The HUAWEI MateBook 14 also gets design enhancements. It features signature ultra-thin bezels on all four sides – a design which differentiates the MateBook family – as well as a frameless keyboard and aesthetically pleasing dot patterned air vents. The sleek, minimalist design and distinct fresh and vibrant shade of green integrate the beauty of the natural world into the digital world.

New display technology

HUAWEI engineers’ research into how the eyes react to different types of light and how traditional paper impacts on visual and drawing experiences. The result is innovative new PaperMatte Display technology on the MatePad 11.5’’S that enables users to read more comfortably and write more smoothly. 

Writing and drawing on many tablets can feel slippery, but the PaperMatte Display retains the matte experience of traditional writing, so that writing on the tablet feels as natural and fluid as on paper. It also reduces screen reflection and scattered light, reduces blue light radiation and protects the health of users' eyes. The touchscreen is also more responsive and doesn’t stick or leave fingerprints.

Meanwhile, HUAWEI’s self-developed X-True display enhancement algorithm provides a smoother reading experience when using a PC to browse web pages and documents. The screen is also more comfortable to look at for a long time in a dark environment, ideal for long sessions of work. As for the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro, the screen has been professionally colour-corrected across the Adobe RGB, sRGB, and P3 colour gamuts to ensure the precision required by demanding visual artists.

Optimised for fast workflows 

On the MateBooks, new Super Turbo technology can intelligently detect different application scenarios and foreground and background status to introduce corresponding optimisation policies super fast. The result is that the system can be accessed within 1 second of opening the laptops, and system response speed is improved: 19.2 seconds to open 150 large PPTs and 31.4 seconds to open a large Excel file with 1.3 million lines. Even more impressively, 4K video rendering takes half the amount of time as on the M3 MacBook Pro.

Promoting creativity with GoPaint

As well as the hardware, the HUAWEI-developed app GoPaint provides MatePad and MatePad Pro users with easy-to-use drawing and recording functions, making digital creation more convenient and efficient. The app was developed by Huawei 2012 Laboratories and other R&D teams technical experts in eight fields and is supported by the Fangtian Painting engine. Latency is lower, the brush can be quickly and stably closed, and the hair and brush edge can be precisely displayed. The application runs smoothly when using multiple layers and large canvases to create professional illustrations

Last year, HUAWEI launched the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity to encourage users to create using HUAWEI tablets, resulting in thousands of paintings that convey the beauty of different cultures and regions. It also launched Discover HUAWEI, inviting outstanding artists to share their creative insights and skills. Meanwhile, My HUAWEI, a community of 40 million fans around the world, encourages users’ creativity and self-expression.
