Reinvent yourself
Nigel Evan Dennis, who made his name as a bold, colour-driven illustrator, has reinvented his style with a stark, stripped-back look that's won him new fans and plaudits. He describes how he did it.
For years I have been working in a style that is very saturated, very loud.
I decided to take a break from this and use a very simple, basic technique to get my artwork moving in a direction that is unique, so that it stands out in a dense cloud of work. Creating these images is not hard - it's about composition, colour and subtlety.
