Break the vector mould
Vector work can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose to make it. YUP encourages you to push the vector exploration envelope.
I don't usually make much of a distinction between hand-created and digital in my work - the process of construction ends up being quite similar in both.
On paper, on a wall or on the screen, technique is only a means by which to reap the benefits of the process.
That process/quest is therefore the basis of my drawing, a continual path of construction and searching. In this way, as I explain through this tutorial, even if the result is exclusively digital, I can start out directly from a vector in the absence of any type of previous sketch, or start out from an analogical base from which I might build a world of forms, stories, characters, lines or colour.
